There is a solution! check out TweakUAC - Instead of disabling UAC Which isn't necessarily a good idea, you can turn switch it to "quiet" mode.
I'd ensure you're virus and spyware free before using this, or things could get messy.
This program is a tiny download and I found it yet another good tweak for making vista a more productive environment to work in.
